On May 15th between 11:53 AM CET-12:07 PM CET, Klarna experienced an authorization issue impacting card transactions across the EU region.
Customers using Klarna-issued cards, including Credit Cards, Shopping OTC, MCVN, and Debit Cards, experienced transaction failures, delays, or declines. During the incident, Klarna relied on a fallback mechanism (STIP).
Merchants processing Klarna card payments during this window may have experienced authorization delays or failures, potentially leading to checkout abandonment or lost transactions.

Resolution: This issue was promptly identified and corrected, fully restoring the service within approximately 15 minutes (11:53 - 12:07 CET)
